Love that Free School

I really love the free school. Lately I've been into drawing and teaching drawing and the kids are enjoying it too. It's a wild and crazy place.

musings with cold hands and miracles

the babe asleep I catch up on computer work.
amazing how much fun these "tools" have locked away in them, I can spend several hours a day just maintaining my email, myspace and blog
and as you can see I haven't made it to the blog all that frequently of late
and now my hands are cold

This morning I awoke to join the miracle sharing call.
Day 2: I notice what I hear.
It is about being aware of what attracts me the most. Am I listening for miracles, peace and love, or am I listening for stories, turmoil and fear?

Really truly, my life is such a miracle. I get paid to have a great time with a bunch of wonderful kids and adults. The beautiful rain is falling and washing Portland clean and now I get to go relax and read a book.

A friend of mine recommended it and I think it's lots of fun.
Not dating itself, but this online service.

They ask you thousands of questions, many of which I haven't contemplated for a long time and then they match you up with people. I just went on it for entertainment and to meet some new people and woah, it ate up an entire evening.

Klein Bottle hats

My new entertainment comes from blending abstract math and knitting. Well, it's not that new really. I previously knit a Moebius scarf and crochet a hyperbolic plane. But the klein bottle hat is really the most useful and fun, so now I'm on my third one. All the relatives want them now.

Just in case you didn't know a Klein bottle is a 3 dimensional object that has only one surface and no volume, but it can still contain stuff, like a head.

So I changed to the new blog format, which I do like quite a bit.
But I lost all my photos in the process and I doubt I'll go back in and put them all back. So sad :)
